Good for the Soul

I’ve been known to send people down many rabbit holes when I share my Friday’s Faves on IG. Today, I want to share some things that I have come across that are good for the soul. From interesting books, art inspiration, music, and online courses, I hope you find some great takeaways! Today’s theme is SOUL!

art

I recently created these Story Teller Cards inspired by Renee Mueller. It was so fun, freeing, and good for the soul to create these little works of art just for me. Renee has had a couple of FB Lives in her Creative Community where she shares many ways to make these cards. These sessions were recorded and are in the community. Check out her beautiful work by joining the group.

travel

The best thing for my soul this summer was traveling abroad. In July, my husband and I had a trip of a lifetime. We went to southern Italy and Germany. The art was so amazing and inspiring. Besides the IG Stories links, I also shared some funny and interesting stories in my posts.

books

These are the 3 books I am reading currently. They are already so good that I have no problem recommending them now.

The first two books definitely fall into the Soul Work category. Melody Ross speaks so truthfully and is so vulnerable in her ‘50 Roads’ memoir. You can get her book here. Or listen to her speak the words on her podcast.

Feed Your Soul is not just about what we eat; but more about our relationship with food. These first two books really dive into the stories we tell ourselves.

The last book, ‘Tomorrow and Tomorrow and Tomorrow’ is a great Adventure Fiction. It has me captivated so far. This one I read for fun, which again… is good for the soul!

workshop

Talking about soul work and the stories we tell ourselves, the next resource I have come across is the topper of all toppers! The Relationship Formula was created by West and Kami Taylor. They have created an extensive program on how to change the story you have been telling yourself, create new neuropathways, and alter your experiences and outcome. It’s fascinating to see how it started with horsetraining and how those horses taught West how to change the trajectory of his life. And now he and his wife are sharing it with the world. I was blessed to have chatted with them the other day. I have not met a more down-to-earth, kind, and generous couple.

music

Why don’t we finish up this soulful blogpost with some good music. Lake Street Dive just dropped their Fun Machine sequel. More great covers with a soulful twist by Lake Street Dive is always sure to put me in a good mood!

I’d love to hear if you dig deeper into any of these soulful recommendations! Let me know below. Have a great weekend!
